Favourite Tree Records is a cooperative of like-minded musicians.
The seeds were sown in 2008. Originally the brain-child of visionary bassist Ashley Davies, of famous Tokyo band The Watanabes, the idea sprouted from a bamboo-like fetus into a mighty pink tree. Towns And Houses, from York, England, threw in some fertiliser and suddenly there was Favourite Tree Records.
This is a record label. All releases by the member bands will be under the Favourite Tree monicker. It is also a cooperative, with member bands helping out the other bands. Bands only join through invitation.
The tree picture was painted by the very talented Selwyn Walsh, vocalist and guitarist with The Watanabes.
